The Allen-Bradley 871TM-M10NP18-D4 is a Bulletin 871TM tubular inductive proximity sensor with an 18 mm (M18) diameter stainless steel barrel and a 10 mm extended sensing distance. It provides a normally open (N.O.) sourcing PNP output and is IO-Link enabled, operating on 10 to 30V DC. The shielded, metal-face sensor connects through an M12 Micro quick-disconnect (DC) and carries IP68 and IP69K protection ratings. It has a switching frequency of 200 Hz and a stainless steel housing..

    871TM-M10NP18-D4 Applications

    The 871TM-M10NP18-D4 is used for non-contact detection of metallic targets in automation and material handling applications where a rugged M18 barrel sensor is required. Its 10 mm extended sensing range and shielded (flush-mountable) design make it suitable for tight installations near metal. IP68 and IP69K ratings allow use in washdown and wet environments common to food, beverage, and packaging lines. The PNP normally open output interfaces directly with standard PLC and control inputs, while IO-Link support enables smart configuration and diagnostics.
