The IFM N0533A is a switching amplifier used to operate intrinsically safe NAMUR sensors located in hazardous areas from a safe-area control cabinet. It is suited for interfacing Ex ia inductive and NAMUR proximity sensors to a PLC while providing galvanic isolation, short-circuit and wire-break monitoring. Its two channels each provide a parameterisable relay changeover output, ATEX [Ex ia] associated apparatus marking, LED indication of operation, switching status and faults, and quick DIN-rail mounting. The amplifier must be mounted outside the hazardous area.
