The Allen-Bradley 440N-Z21S16B is a Guardmaster SensaGuard non-contact safety interlock switch with an 18 mm plastic barrel sensor and 18 mm plastic standard-code actuator. It offers a 15 mm (0.59 in.) assured sensing distance with LED door indication and diagnostics. The unit has a 10-meter PVC cable and carries UL, CE, RCM, Korean KC, and EAC approvals..

    440N-Z21S16B Applications

    The 440N-Z21S16B SensaGuard switch monitors guard doors with a coded RFID-style non-contact sensing element that tolerates misalignment and washdown. The 18 mm barrel sensor and matching standard-code actuator close the safety outputs when the guard is within the 15 mm assured sensing distance. Integral LED indication shows door and diagnostic status for quick fault finding. Wire it to a Guardmaster safety relay or safety controller to stop hazardous motion when the guard opens. Its compact barrel form fits standard 18 mm mounting on machine frames and fences.
