Allen-Bradley 2080-TC2 Thermocouple Input Plug-in Module — 2-channel thermocouple (TC) input plug-in. The Micro800 2-Channel Thermocouple Input Plug-in Module adds two non-isolated thermocouple input channels to Micro820, Micro850 and Micro870 controllers. It accepts J, K, N, T, E, R, S and B thermocouple types with 14-bit resolution and provides cold junction compensation. Accuracy is approximately +/-1.0 C at 25 C. The module draws about 40 mA at 3.3 V from the controller, connects via screw terminals, and operates from -20 to 65 C..

2080-TC2 Applications

Use this plug-in to bring temperature signals from thermocouple sensors directly into a Micro800 controller for compact machine control, ovens, heating processes and HVAC applications. It mounts on the controller face without consuming panel space and supports eight common thermocouple types with built-in cold junction compensation. Ideal where accurate, cost-effective temperature acquisition is needed close to the process without a separate remote I/O rack or external transmitter.
