Allen-Bradley 1756-IF8IH Analog Input Module — 8-channel isolated HART analog input. The Allen-Bradley 1756-IF8IH is an 8-channel isolated analog input module for ControlLogix systems with HART protocol support. It accepts current inputs (0-20mA, 4-20mA) with 250V continuous reinforced isolation between inputs and the backplane, and delivers data as 32-bit floating point using a 24-bit sigma-delta converter. Effective resolution is 16 to 21 bit with a 250 ohm input impedance. It provides open-circuit detection and high noise rejection for demanding process measurement..

1756-IF8IH Applications

The 1756-IF8IH is used in process control applications where HART-enabled field instruments must be read and monitored through a ControlLogix system. Isolation on every channel protects against ground loops and allows connection of instruments referenced to different potentials. HART support enables access to secondary process variables and instrument diagnostics alongside the primary 4-20mA signal. It suits oil and gas, chemical, water/wastewater and other continuous process industries. Configuration is done in Studio 5000 Logix Designer.
