    1747-PIC Applications

    The 1747-PIC lets a PC with a standard serial COM port communicate with SLC 500 controllers on a DH-485 network. It converts RS-232 signals to the RS-485 physical layer used by DH-485. It is typically used during programming, configuration, and troubleshooting with RSLinx software on Windows systems. Because it draws on built-in COM1 or COM2 ports, it requires exclusive access to the assigned serial port. It remains in service for maintenance of legacy SLC 500 installations.
