The Allen-Bradley 1746-P1 is an SLC 500 rack-mounting power supply for the 1746 modular chassis. It accepts a wide-range AC line of 85-132V AC or 170-265V AC at 47-63 Hz and supplies the chassis backplane with an internal current capacity of 2A at 5V DC and 0.46A at 24V DC. A 200 mA 24V DC user-power output is provided. It mounts at the left end of an SLC 500 modular chassis to power the processor and I/O modules..

1746-P1 Applications

The 1746-P1 powers Allen-Bradley SLC 500 modular chassis, converting 120/240V AC line power into the 5V DC backplane supply drawn by the SLC processor and I/O modules. Rated at 2A on the 5V rail plus 0.46A at 24V DC, it suits smaller mixed I/O configurations and mounts at the left end of the 1746 chassis. It also delivers 200 mA of 24V DC user power for field devices. It is used to maintain and repair legacy SLC 500 control systems in machinery and process installations still running the platform.
