    1746-OW8 Applications

    The 1746-OW8 drives eight discrete output loads such as solenoids, contactors, indicators, and small motors from an SLC 500 controller. Its relay contacts handle a wide voltage window, switching either AC or DC loads on the same module, which makes it useful in mixed-voltage panels. Because outputs are dry contacts, external fusing and appropriate contact protection should be applied for inductive loads. It installs in a single 1746 I/O slot. This module is discontinued as of December 31, 2022, but remains repairable.
