1734-EXT1 Applications

The 1734-EXT1 is used when a POINT I/O assembly must be divided across two mounting locations or DIN rail sections while keeping the POINTBus connected. It preserves communication and backplane continuity between the separated groups of modules. This is common in tight enclosures or when I/O must be positioned around obstructions inside a cabinet. It connects between compatible 1734 terminal bases at the split point. Only official Rockwell length and compatibility ratings should be used when planning a run.
