The IFM NG501A is an inductive NAMUR sensor used for position and presence detection in hazardous (gas and dust Ex) areas. It is suited for valve position feedback, end-position and rotation monitoring on equipment in ATEX Zone-0/20 environments. Designed for connection to certified intrinsically safe circuits via a NAMUR switching amplifier, it carries ATEX II 1G / 1D Ex ia marking, offers an 8 mm sensing range in a robust metal housing, and provides clearly visible LED switching indication with a permanently legible laser type label.
